Ten facts about Danny Orleans:

1. He has performed over 5000 programs for youth and family audiences at school cultural arts programs, libraries, camps, park districts, theatres, museums and arts centers.

2. He graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. in Education.

3. He taught Middle School Mathematics at the North Shore Country Day School, Winnetka.

4. He received federal grant money to create and teach a math and science curriculum for Nursery School and Day Care Centers in Evanston.

5. He started performing magic shows as a teenager in New Jersey.

6. He has written a Teacher's Guide called ‘Magic in the Classroom’ so teachers can prepare their students for his program and teach them a trick!

7. He has written 10 books for Scholastic’s Ultimate Magic Club. He teaches a magic workshop at libraries and park districts based on these books.

8. He has created three curriculum-based magic shows for primary, intermediate and middle school-aged students.

9. He has written a book for Chronicle Books called “Magic Scratchers” to be published in 2010.
